Witherspoon Spray Formula

We suggest spraying your roses with this mixture April-October

  • 1 gallon water
  • 5 teaspoons Captan 50%
  • 2.5 teaspoons Thiomyl 50%
  • 2 tablespoons Bonide Systemic Insecticide
  • 0.5 teaspoons Spreader Sticker

Mix well and spray before temperatures reach 86°

Mix fresh batch each time you spray and spray every 7-10 days.

Spray for insects only when necessary.

Dormant Oil Formula

  • 1 gallon water
  • 3 tablespoons Dormant Oil
  • 2.25 teaspoons Fungonil
  • 0.5 teaspoons Spreader Sticker

Mix well and spray on bushes and the mulch surrounding the roses.

Wait 2 weeks and apply for a second time if blackspot, downy mildew, or spider mites were an issue during the previous growing season.
