Witherspoon ships bareroot roses every Monday and Tuesday during shipping season.
Bareroot roses are packed in wet moss and wrapped tightly before being boxed.
Potted Roses are available for pick up only at one of our Garden Shop locations.
We cannot ship to PO Boxes.
We make every effort to ensure that your plants arrive in the best possible condition. Bareroot rose plants are shipped Feb 3 – Apr 25 via UPS.
We strongly recommend 3-Day Select for roses being shipped to CA, OR, & WA.
Shipping cost for bareroot roses starts at $16 and increases depending on shipping location and amount of bareroot roses included in the shipment.
If multiple shipping addresses are attached to one order, shipping charges will be applied to each address.
Witherspoon cannot be held responsible for abnormal weather conditions and other circumstances beyond our control.

Shipping Bareroot Roses to Warm Climates - To ensure maximum survival rate of newly planted bareroot roses place your order as early as possible in the year so they can be planted before the hot weather sets in. Once the day temperature regularly reaches 70 degrees F very young bareroot rose bushes struggle to establish and survive. Bareroot roses can be successfully established during hotter weather but they will need careful attention to watering.
Please inspect your order upon arrival for any damages. If your order does arrive damaged, please contact us through email or by phone at 800-643-0315 within 24 hours of receiving your order to report the damage and request a replacement.
Upon their arrival, please plant within 3 days. Newly planted bareroot roses must be protected from wind, sun and extreme temperatures by covering each plant completely with moist mulch. Detailed planting instructions are included with your order.
All of our roses are guaranteed through the first growing season. If your rose fails within the first growing season, you may be entitled to a replacement. Please read our guarantee before calling.

Each plant is carefully selected and handled with care to ensure success. You have our guarantee that all plants are true to name, up to grade and handled properly.
If roses are shipped to you, please inspect for damage immediately upon arrival. Report any damage immediately. Whether your roses are shipped or picked up from a Witherspoon Garden Shop, follow all instructions for proper planting. If planted properly and cared for according to Witherspoon "Home Gardener's Guide for Growing Roses," your roses should last for years. If you have followed all the instructions and your purchased roses do not grow and bloom in the first blooming season, we will replace them or offer you store credit. Claims for credit must be made by November 30th of the purchasing year.
If roses are planted by and serviced by Witherspoon Rose Culture, your plants are guaranteed for 12 months. If you have maintained your service agreement during that time, we will replace rose bushes that do not survive within that time.

Cancellations must be made 3 days prior to your ship date to avoid a 20% restocking fee.
If an order is cancelled after the package has left our property, there will be a package recall fee (determined by UPS) in addition to the 20% restocking fee.
A 50% down payment is required to hold roses for an order. 100% of the balance is required before roses or products can be shipped to you.

We save personally-identifiable information, such as your name, address and telephone number, from our website when visitors sign up for an account, place an order or request a catalog. When you place an order online, your credit card information is encrypted and will not be saved after your order is complete.
